About This Room

The Gabada Room is another quiet corner of our 360-year-old walauwa, kept in its original character rather than fitted out like a modern hotel room. Its window looks out toward the forest side of the property, giving a very different outlook from our garden-facing rooms.

Interior of the Gabada Room

The room comes with an attached bathroom and a drying rack for clothes. As with the rest of the house, we don't have air conditioning here — a standing fan is provided to keep things comfortable.

The forest-facing window brings a cooler, greener outlook, especially pleasant in the early morning.

We're not a five-star hotel, and we don't try to be — what we offer instead is a genuinely peaceful stay inside a home with real history, and we do our best to look after our guests throughout their time here.
