The Heritage Room sits within our 360-year-old walauwa and has been kept close to its original character, showcasing traditional Sri Lankan craftsmanship rather than modern hotel styling. Staying here means staying inside a real piece of history.
The room comes with a comfortable queen-size bed, a cupboard for your belongings, and a drying rack for clothes. As this is a heritage home rather than a modern hotel, we don't have air conditioning — a standing fan is provided instead.
A window offers a view of our garden, letting in natural light and a calm outlook throughout your stay.
Every corner of this room carries a bit of the house's history, from the old architecture to the traditional details preserved throughout. We're not a five-star hotel, but we do our best to accommodate our guests and make sure your stay is a peaceful one.
The Heritage Room shares a bathroom with the neighbouring Gabada Room. It's kept clean and comfortable, with hot water available for your stay.
